HALLOUMI
Traditionally prepared from goat, and/or sheep, and/or cow milk on the Eastern Mediterranean Island of Cyprus, Halloumi cheese, has been approved in 2022 as a protected designation of origin (PDO) in the European Union. Halloumi is a high-quality cheese that can be eaten raw, but due to its unique texture and high melting point, it’s one of the very few cheeses that are ideal for grilling and frying. There are many unique different ways to enjoy a great taste. Halloumi is also one of the top 5 cheeses with the highest increase in demand and consumption in the world!
